Criteria and bibliographic references

Caribeinside ranks among the portals that shed significant light on the tourist industry in both Central America and the Caribbean. It features a comprehensive guide of the premiere destinations, cities and countries. It provides information on economics, art, culture, geography, tourist offers, entertainment, society and education, among other topics that shape the history of these countries.

You can download information and news on a variety of interesting issues. Relying on Internet tools, the portal intends to reach a global yet detailed scope on the countries that make up this American region. You can look for different items and close in on your search in such languages as Spanish and English.

In order to achieve higher levels of credibility and reliability in the content of Caribeinside, its editing staff has laid out those bibliographic references that were consulted in putting together and building this Web site.

For the compilation and description of texts for each and every country, several information resources were used, including written and personal sources. In many a case, we turned to local sources like periodical reporters and correspondents, embassy officials, editors, journalists, institutions, social and cultural organizations, tourism offices and desks and libraries, as well as press centers, databases and official Web sites.

Special interest is paid to all issues printed out to date by the Caribbean Tourist Excellencies magazine, which make up the cornerstone of many data and descriptions shaping the portal. All contributions were gathered by the Excellencies Group that carried out the final editing work and translation of texts.
